Please take a moment to carefully read the provided information about the performance at Clifton Gardens from top to bottom to ensure you don’t miss any important details.

Date: March 15th (Sunday)
Meet Up Time: 12:45 PM
Return Time: Aprox. 4:30 PM

The performance at Clifton Gardens is part of our ongoing charity performances for care homes across London.

Due to the limited stage space at Clifton Gardens, we have selected solo, duet, and small group pieces (3–5 dancers) for each performance.

The aim of these performances is to give our children the opportunity to practice dancing in a real performance setting, while developing their artistic expression, organisational skills, and friendships.

We understand that plans can sometimes change. If this happens, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible, as we need to allocate costumes and finalise the programme in advance.

Visit the Ballet Playbook Page so children can practise their dances at home.

Transportation to the Performance at Clifton Gardens:

We will meet up at Ealing Broadway Underground station at 12:45 PM and take public transport, presumably the District Line, to get to the event. If TFL is going on strike, we will use public buses. We kindly ask everybody not to be late as we are getting the train at 12:50 pm.

If you prefer to travel by car, we would really appreciate it if you could let us know in advance. Please plan your journey so that you arrive at Clifton Gardens by 1:20 pm.
There is a free car park available, but please note that there are only 4 spaces, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hairstyle:

Children should arrive with their hair styled in a ballet ban. We kindly ask for your assistance in ensuring your child’s hairstyle is elegant, neat, and reflective of the grace of ballet. Visit the ballet bun tutorial for guidance.

Dress Code & Rehearsal:

We will have a rehearsal before the performance, so please ensure your child wears comfortable clothing, such as leggings, and avoids dresses and jeans. The rehearsal will be done without costumes.

Please dress your child in clothing with front buttons or zippers, which are easy to put on and take off without damaging their hairstyle.

Children from the Friday 5:30pm group will not have rehearsal beforehand.

Accessories:

Please be mindful that accessories such as watches and jewellery require extra attention and take time to remove before the performance. To avoid the risk of losing them in a rush, kindly explain to your child not to wear them.

Make-Up:

As the stage is very close to the audience, we do not recommend that children wear make-up. However, if your child would love to wear some, please purchase this lipstick using the link below and select Ink Crayon 50 when ordering, so that all children have a similar appearance. LIPSTICK.

What to Bring:

Please pack  ballet shoes, ballet tights and water bottle in a bag and don’t forget to bring a plastic bag for children to store their outdoor clothes and shoes.

After the Performance:

The staff at Clifton Gardens will be preparing some complimentary treats. Parents, we kindly ask that you have a quick chat with your children at home about eating carefully, not running around with food, and being mindful of their costumes to avoid any spills or stains.
As usual, we’ll take a group photo of all the participants, and parents are very welcome to join us to capture this special moment.

After that, you’re welcome to collect your child and head off, or stay with the group and travel back to Ealing together.
