About Polish Harvest Festival

Harvest and Heritage Polish Day Festival is a community event that celebrates Polish culture while bringing together families from different backgrounds across the United Kingdom. The festival will offer a vibrant atmosphere with traditional Polish music, folk group performances, and delicious cuisine and drinks from different regions of Poland. It is a fantastic opportunity for our dancers to showcase their talent in front of a wider audience and for families to enjoy a rich cultural experience together.

A few important points to keep in mind

GENERAL INFORMATION

The festival begins at 1:00 pm; however, we will meet at 2:30 pm in front of the stage. Before the performance, we plan to have a short rehearsal without costumes. As no specific rehearsal space has been allocated, we will practice in a suitable spot available on the day. At around 3:00 pm, we will move to the gazebo to change into costumes.

Please make sure your child comes wearing clothes that are easy to take off and put on (such as front-buttoned or zipped cardigans and shoes without laces). We also kindly ask you to bring something for your child to stand on while changing costumes, as we are not sure what type of ground the gazebo will have.

After the performance, we kindly ask that children change out of their costumes straight away so they can walk around freely and enjoy the festival. If your child is taking part in the Young Ealing Foundation Award Ceremony, please keep the costume with you until then. If not, the costume can be returned at the next ballet lesson.

COSTUMES

Costumes can be rented for £40. Please pay via PayPal info@emballetschool.co.uk (we recommend using the “Friends and Family” option for faster refunds) by 12th September, 11:00 am.

The rental fee includes a non-refundable 20% deposit. If the costume is returned in good condition, £32 will be refunded. If the costume is damaged, the full deposit of £40 will be retained.

Costumes will be given away on Friday 12th. Please, kindly return the costume in its original packaging at the following lesson after the performance (if your child is not participating in YEF Award Ceremony).

If you prefer to pay by card, use the button below. Please note that if the payment was made via bank transfer, the refund may be delayed. We kindly request that you refrain from using cash as a method of payment.

Please ensure that the ballet tights are in good condition, without any tears, and properly stretched over the thighs. If your ballet shoes have laces, tie them into a bow and secure them tightly to the shoe.

Please note that tickets for the Harvest and Heritage Polish Day festival are required for entry. Tickets are free, or you may choose to make a small donation of £3.50 to support the event. We kindly ask all parents to reserve a spot in advance to help the organizers plan the day.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

A big thank you to everyone who’s shown interest in being part of this performance! It’s such a great chance for the children to practise their ballet skills, grow in confidence, and strengthen the wonderful friendships they already share. We also hope that the events like Polish Harvest Festival help bring parents together too, creating a lovely sense of community as we all celebrate the children’s progress and achievements.

We realise that this information has reached you a little later than usual, but we wanted to wait until the autumn term had begun before sharing the details
