Support Your Child IN PRACTICING

We encourage you to support your little ballerina in practicing 2–3 times per week, whether in front of a small audience (like you!) or on their own. Ask your child how they would prefer to practise — some children enjoy dancing for others, while some prefer a bit of quiet focus.

Please don’t worry if your child seems unsure or forgets certain steps at first. That’s completely normal. Independent practice helps children take ownership of their learning and begin to memorise the exercises on their own, which is an important skill.

You’ll notice that the exercises in the video are performed a little faster than in class — this is intentional. It encourages children to pay close attention, stay focused, and sharpen their concentration.

If your child doesn’t feel like practicing, that’s okay. Don’t push it. Wait for a better moment — the motivation will often come naturally.

Most importantly, we hope your child has fun while practicing. This stage of learning is a beautiful journey — enjoy it together!

Please note: We are planning to book the upcoming Pre – Primary Grade exam for the 4th of October, so kindly reserve this date in your calendar.

Warm regards,
Your Ballet School Team
