Resistance Bands:
Each day, children will engage in dynamic and enriching exercises that include the use of resistance bands. These bands made from durable elastic material. They provide effective resistance, aiding in the development of core strength . However, they will be seamlessly integrated into the ballet training regimen to provide a comprehensive and effective learning experience. The use of resistance bands will encourage proper alignment, body awareness improve overall strength, and balance.
The incorporation of resistance bands serves as a valuable enhancement to the traditional ballet curriculum. Varied resistance in these bands lets students customize workouts, gradually challenging strength and flexibility according to individual needs.
Furthermore, the incorporation of resistance bands adds an element of fun and creativity to the ballet classes, making the learning process engaging and dynamic for the children. As they explore the fusion of traditional ballet with resistance band exercises, they will not only refine their technical skills but also experience the joy of movement in a unique and stimulating way.
Ballet Jumps
Ballet jumping develops strength, coordination, and lightness, helping children move with control and confidence. During the camp, dancers will learn and practise key jumping steps such as assemblé, glissade, and jeté, focusing on correct take-off, safe landing, and musical timing. These exercises help build strong legs, improve balance, and encourage a sense of elevation, allowing children to experience the joy and excitement of jumping with good technique.
Core Stabilisation:
Core stabilisation helps children develop strength, balance, and control, which are essential for good posture and safe, confident movement in ballet. Through carefully guided exercises, children learn how to engage their core muscles correctly, improving coordination and overall technique. We also have mirrors in the venue, allowing children to observe themselves and self-correct while doing the exercises, helping them build body awareness and independence.
Summarize:
Easter Half-Term Camp is a journey of self-discovery and a platform for children to explore their aspirations and talents. It is a space where they learn the value of practice, the joy of achievement, and the satisfaction of creating something beautiful. Alongside developing ballet technique, we actively promote physical well-being, encouraging children to care for their bodies and understand the strong connection between movement, health, and confidence.
