At our ballet school, we believe that dance is not only about learning steps and technique. It is also about creating beautiful childhood memories. That is why we sometimes capture professional photos and videos during classes and performances.

When children sign up for our ballet classes, we always ask parents for permission to use their child’s photos or videos on our website and social media. Some parents are happy to give permission, while others prefer not to. We fully respect every family’s decision and always follow the permission given.

Why Ballet Performance Photos Become Lifelong Memories

During the term, many special moments happen in the studio. Children preparing for a performance, practising together, laughing with friends, and proudly presenting what they have learned. Professional photos and videos allow us to capture these moments and share them with families.

Parents whose children appear in the photos can download them, share them with family and friends, or simply keep them as a beautiful record of their child’s journey in ballet. Many parents later say that these photos become some of their favourite memories of their child’s early years.

For children whose parents did not give permission, we carefully blur their faces or avoid showing them. Sometimes, after seeing the photos shared with other families, parents realise that wonderful memories were captured but cannot be included due to the original choice.

For this reason, we encourage parents to think carefully when making their decision about photo permissions. Childhood moves very quickly, and photos and videos from ballet classes and performances can become a precious collection of memories for the future.
